Biggest pet peeve of all time.
Poking/prodding/kicking me to get my attention.
I can totally understand it if the circumstances don't allow any speaking or any other form of getting me to look at you, but really? In class? When you're right next to me? And it's work time?
So here's the scene:
I'm in Latin class in a group filling out a worksheet on reflexive pronouns when a girl sitting next to me (We'll call her Sarah... because that's her actual name) attempts to poke a hole in my back to get me to turn to around.
I swing to face her and (quite bitch-ily I may admit) spit, "What."
"Oh I just wanted to say you were right about question 16."
OHMYGOSH.
It took all of my energy not to explode because this was not the first incident.
Please, is it really that hard to whisper my name? Or to text me? Or to wave your hand in front of my face?
Must you physically touch me?
Maybe I'm being a little too anal.
But, aghhh.

You are NOT being too anal. This is exactly the sort of thing that could go on my blog and I absolutely loathe the physical means of getting attention too.
Is it lunchtime at school? It's a good thing you got to write a post while the sentiment was still there. Many of my ideas get old once I get home and I don't feel the resentment I had earlier on.
Michael.
Is it really your biggest pet peeve?
Michael.
I hate when people do that to me, mostly because I hate to be touched by most people. There are only a few exceptions.
Granted, to people I don't mind touching, I do tend to poke. It's a twisted world, gotta say.
Michael: Haha let me rephrase, it's one of my biggest pet peeves. And it's still 1:18 PM Sunday here in good ol' Rochester, MN.
Randa: I don't mind hugging or even holding hands, but the very act of poking is so... just ugh.
You guys would hate Brazil, it's a really touchy feely culture, physical contact is the thing. Took me ages to get used to it (and then some)
