Anyways, my American Studies class was in the computer lab researching for ideas for our 1950's party. Of course, my friends and are totally off on a tangent.
En route to a video about game shows, I come across the trailer for the movie Where the Wild Things Are, based on the book by Maurice Sendak directed by Spike Jonze.

The trailer itself is beautiful, and strangely surreal (the uplifting song by Arcade Fire playing in the background adds to the feeling). I honestly cannot wait to go see the movie and I'm searching around the house looking for my book.
But then came the real find of the day: Off to the side of the video, I found a link to another one titled "Everyone Poops."

You have probably seen or heard of this wonderfully frank book that explains to children that, well, everyone poops. In fact, find it and read it with your friends ... it's an amazing laugh.
And now there's a movie trailer for it that's obviously spoofing the Where the Wild Things Are one. I think I've watched it maybe 4 times now? If this were made into a movie, I would be the first in line to buy tickets.
