Don't scoff young whippersnappers, I really am!
Okay, so when I say "Greatest Hits Album," you automatically think of old school bands, like Queen or Martha Reeve and the Vandellas, right? And really, you can't have a compilation of your best songs if your band is new, and hasn't even made enough tracks to fill one up.
But here's the thing, one of my favorite bands, Switchfoot, has released, "The Best Yet" including songs like, "Dare You to Move" and "This Is Your Life."
WHAT IS THIS?
Someone hand me a cane and rub my leg with Bengay.
And I'm really saddened to say that on November 4, 2008, one of my favorite authors in the world, Michael Crichton passed away from cancer.
It's so surreal, I can't even imagine it. Ever since 6th grade, when I found Jurrassic Park in the school library ("Whoa! It was a book first??), I've been hooked on the guy. I finished all of his books by 7th grade, and later I devoured State of Fear and Next.
And now he's gone.
When I go through TIME magazine and read through the Death sections on the Milestones Page, I don't feel a connection to any of the people. Now I'm starting to worry, what if every week I look at the page and see a favorite actor? A favorite musician?
I'm only 15 and I'm already afraid of growing old. How sad is that?
However, on a brighter note. I received a TB skin test and today my reading read...
NEGATIVE!
I now know for sure that I am one less person spreading this lung eating disease through the world.
