Sleepless in Rochester

Today I have decided that I am going to stop whining about the number of comments on my page and just say FUCK IT!

I like blogging and nothing is going to stop me from doing it.

(well, at least school starts up again when I bury myself under mounds of procrastinated homework ... but I'm not going to think about that right now!!)

:)

I skipped swimming today. I seriously did not get to sleep last night until 1 AM. Now I know all you other people out there are scoffing and thinking, "It's summer! What the hell is she complaining about?" Well here's the dealio my friends, I have to wake up at 6 every morning so I can eat breakfast, and then bike 6 miles to the pool where I have dryland workout for an hour and then swimming for 2.

So anyways, the cause for this temporary insomnia was this: IT WAS TOO FUCKING HOT! I was lying spreadeagle on my bed in a tank top and shorts praying for my body to cool down enough so I could fall asleep, but alas, my dumb self would not listen. I even attempted sleeping on the hard, but slightly cooler bamboo mat in my room, but my eyes still would not close. I finally drifted off out of sheer exhaustion only to be woken up a mere 5 hours later by the incessant blaring coming from my alarm clock (I need to buy one of those clocks that wake the sleeper up with a calming, soothing sound ... my mornings would be so much better). The morning was made even worse when I remembered that I had to work a 6 hour shift today. So I decided to skip workout and instead go to swimming tomorrow.

The only really good thing that came out of all of this was that I whined like a huge baby at breakfast and right now, the air conditioning is on.

the aftermath

Everyone left about an hour ago and I realized that the aftermath of every sleepover is always the same.
1. Vacuum sprinkles and various food crumbs from the rug.
2. Fold up spare blankets and put them into a closet where they will sit until the next time.
3. Return assortment of items to my room. Today it was my guitar, laptop, and teddy bear.
However, on separate occasions I've taken Bop-Its, my iHome, Monopoly ... etc.
4. Brush fuzzy teeth.
5. Eat something healthy to balance out all the cookies and Cornpops eating the night before.
6. Spend the rest of the day in a half sleepy daze.
Sounds like fun, huh?

I'm just sort of sitting here sort of disappointed in myself. So far this whole, "getting totally buff" plan has gone down the drain. The problem? I'm just too lazy. I'd be happy if I could just sit on my ass cooped up in my room this entire summer ... well with food at least.

Oh and by the way, check me out on Twitter! The username's Euranator. Tell me your's and I'll follow you.

Up Late

It's been a pretty productive night.

I convinced two of my friends to finally see Ferris Bueller's Day Off and Monty Python and the Holy Grail for the first time. Watching movies with friends just automatically makes the whole experience better, don't you think? Everything just seems so much funnier.

After that, it was a few hours of watching stupid videos on YouTube which is something that I haven't done since 7th grade. I'm pretty sure that we've watched every single clip from Britain's Got Talent (we've observed that Simon Cowell is very obviously more happier in his home country than he is in the US). Listening to all those cheery British accents has sort of rubbed off on me. In fact, even as I am typing this, I'm imagining myself saying it in a cockney sort of way.

Now I'm the only one left awake. Luckily, my whole list of things to do when I'm the last one up increased exponentially since the acquisition of this laptop. I've already checked both my email and my Facebook 4 times within the last hour, and in ... 12 minutes, I'll probably have this post finished!

Well I'm sorry for this completely pointless post. Turn off your computers and go to bed like normal human beings.
