Short update on my life.
It's been a busy week so far. I just came back from a Select Orchestra rehearsal about an hour away (playing for 4 hours... oof, my arse is in considerable pain) and just starting to force myself to being homework.
I got a job! I'll be serving ice cream at Coldstone Creamery for 6.55/hour + tips... not too shabby for a first job I suppose (and I get free ice cream while on the job!).
I've sort of been going on a movie streak the past few days. Finished up watching Garden State, Little Miss Sunshine, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (I've seen the last two life 5 times already!) and just about halfway through Once. Unfortunately, I have view this wonderful films in little increments, as I don't have time to finish them up in one night.
I know Michael has expressed interest in the collabrative blog ... anyone else?
And that's all for now folks. Hopefully I'll be back soon.

A Music-Less Morning
Trust me on this.
Bad things happen when I don't listen to my iPod in the mornings.
Having to wake up at 6:25 AM to jump on the bus (I can't start driving to school until this spring) at 7:00 can be a drag 5 days a week. The only thing that really gets me going is rocking to some groovy tuneage.
My AM mix usually includes some Rage Against the Machine, Rilo Kiley, and Relient K, with some other ones thrown in.
However, there are some mornings when I'm just in too much of a hurry, or I simply just forget to grab my iPod from the iHome on my bedstand.
Those are the worst days.
First off, the bus ride not only becomes long and monotonous but I also manage to fall asleep. This means that I get a little extra dose of lethargy into my day after being forced to wake up and walk into the school.
Secondly, something always goes wrong. Something. I'm not being paranoid.
For example. Today, I left my iPod on my desk so sadly, I was sans groovy tuneage this morning. I also happened to have a rehearsal for a large orchestra concert tonight.
Guess what happened at this important, two hour rehearsal?
I forgot my bow.
Now I play the cello, and you sort of kind of have to have a bow to play it. Yeah, I left it at school.
Go me.
So the entire time, I had to pretend that I was playing while desperately hoping that neither one of the two orchestra teachers would notice and yell at me. Of course, I had to move my right arm back and forth like some sort of fool, trying to ignore the inquiring stares of the various cello players seated around me.
... not forgetting my iPod again.
