Capitol Trip 2009

Sorry I haven't on lately, it's been a busy week!
For those of you who tried to help me on what color I should paint my nails for the capitol trip on Friday, I decided to go white. Why? Because I found out that one of my good friends already had purple nails. Don't worry though, I'm liking mine.
So the capitol trip went pretty well. It was basically a chance for the people of Rochester to go lobby. I was really lucky and was able to speak to two representatives to try and convince them to up our student funding.
The whole thing started off with a really formal, tasty lunch.

Note the wondrous looking lemon cake in the background. They even had like four different forks! Luckily, since this was my third year in this event, I knew that I had to go outside in... wait, right?
Afterwards, Governor Tim Pawlenty, came in and talked to us. I don't remember much of what he said, I was too busy trying to get a good photo of him. I did not succeed.
Following the lunch, I had my two appointments with the Representatives and then I had 3 hours of downtime to just wander around our beautiful capitol building.

Then came the best part of the night: the reception. Basically a huge hall of free food and exhibitors (otherwise known as tables giving out free crap with their names on it and candy).

My friend and I were a bit excited by these pretty Raspberry Tiramisus. You can also see my white nail polish.

So there was my capitol trip 2009.

Help, please

I am going up to my state capitol this Wednesday to talk with some representatives and try and convince them to work harder on up-ping funds for education.

It's sort of a nervewracking experience but this is my third year doing it, and it's a ton of fun. I'll be sure to take some photos and put them up afterwards!

Anyways; my dilemma: I bought two new shades of nail polish this past weekend... French White Tip and Purple Pizzazz Frost. I'm currently wearing purple on the left hand and white on the left because I thought I would have decided by now... sadly, this is not the case.

Which color do you think will look the most assertive and professional but still sort of show them that I'm a high schooler?

I would love suggestions as soon as possible!

Thanks!

Oh and a quick joke:
A man and a giraffe walk into a bar. The giraffe gets really drunk and passes out on the ground. The man gets off to leave and the bartender says, "Oy, don't leave that lyin' there." and the man says, "I didn't come in with a lion."

PS: You sort of need to read the joke aloud to understand it.

I don't think it's a very accurate, word-for-word version but I got the basic gist. Anyone know what movie it's from?
