Firsts, Resolutions [sort of], and A Movie

Here were my firsts of 2009:
word: douchebag [long story, involves some trippage right before the ball dropped.]

movie: 28 Days Later [more on that below...]

food ingested: cupcakes [white with white frosting]

song: The Marriage of Figaro -- written by Mozart [have you heard it? it's fucking unreal]

text message: she says she's not asleep, but she so is! [again, long story; feel free to ask about]
clothes worn: bright blue jeans, Elvira t-shirt. [see profile photo]

.... and that's all I can remember for now.

I've decided that I'm not having any more New Year's Resolutions, because there's basically 3 major ones that everyone has:

1. Lose weight

2. Spend more time with the family

3. Just be a better person in general

And since I think that all three of those things should be focused on throughout the entire and not just for the month of January and then dropped on month number 2, I've decided on some life resolutions.

1. learn how to play another instrument; not saying that I don't enjoy playing the cello, but I can't just pull it out of my backpack and start playing it like say... the pan flute.

2. watch the top 100 movies of all time; I'll have to find a legit list first, but it would make for a great long weekend.

3. learn/memorize how to make the best cookies ever; again, I need to find the recipe first.

4. run a marathon; I like to run, marathons = running, I'll give it a shot one day.

5. write in this blog more regularly; need I say more?

So as I mentioned way, way above; the first movie I watched this year was 28 Days Later.

It was pretty good. I've always been into movies where people are in peril, running for their lives from scaryviolentfaststrong antagonists [case in point: The Mummy, Jurassic Park, etc] so basically, I enjoyed this movie. I expected this to be a scary movie so I was sort of relieved when it turned out to be more of a zombie flick. I'm not much of a scary film fan, I HATEhatehatehate it when things pop out so that basically crosses most of them out.
Anyways, a good first movie for the year.
How was everyone else's New Year's?

Swear to god we are the same person.
I love 28 Days Later, but I HATE scary pop-out movies with a BURNING PASSION.

I played the cello! Guitar's fun. Piano isn't. Drums are cool. But if you want something more portable, the harmonica is pretty fun and pleasant if you can master it.

My first words after the countdown was "HAPPY NEW YEAR!" *hug friend* "I love you!"

Have not seen a movie yet. Food: Spaghetti on New Year's Day for lunch. Song: 'So What' by Pink.

Horror is my favorite genre, so I give scary popping out a thumbs up. :)

28 Days Later is good. 28 Weeks Later is a bit disappointing (as is Mummy 3).
