I'm reading this book called, Sybil, written by Flora Rheta Schreiber and I cannot put it down.
It's absolutely amazing, and it even inspired a post.
I'm going to give you a gist of the plot, but I suggest you go out and read it yourself; it's hackin' interesting:
Okay so this woman named Sybil Dorsett (a pseudonym) goes in to see a psychologist named Dr. Wilbur. Through many sessions, Dr. Wilbur finds out that Sybil has 16 distinct personalities inside of her that come out and use her body when she is either distressed or extrememly emotional. Each personality believes that they have their own appearances (even though they are really speaking through Sybil) and Sybil has absolutely no memory of what happens when these other characters take over.
And the best part is?
It's non-fiction.
So I was wondering; if I had Multiple Personality Syndrome, what would each of my personalities be? I know that those who have this condition aren't allowed to choose their different characters, and that often this disorder arises through severe traumatic experiences ... but I'm just going to have some fun making up my own people.
First off; there's me; the "waking self."
Eura Chang (16 yrs): 5"8, thick brown hair, easily laughs, moody, OCD tendencies.
Then my (I'll give myself 8) "alters."
Jean Rousseau (19): impoverished artist complete with black tights and beret; white-blond hair in a pixie cut; enjoys painting mustaches on billboards at night; will cry over the dead bird seen in park but gladly enjoys thoughts of torturing capitalist pigs.
Ainsley Parker (16): total bitch; won't hang out with people whose clothes were cheaper than hers; favorite color is mint green; shoulder length amber hair; favorite pastimes are filing her nails and eating frosting out of the jar.
Rhoda Bush (14): absolutely loathes the fact that her last name is the same as our sitting duck, 43rd President; black hair; brown eyes; too scared to talk to anyone except her family; changing her name to Precious Ampferschaat as soon as she turns 18.
Cecilia Tudor (17): talkative; adventurous; once bicycled naked through town just because she was dared by someone who obviously didn't know her very well; curly blonde hair; always has braces with purple bands.
Marion Anderson (12): pretentious; uses big words like "dilettante" and "exigencies"; gave up her Barbie's body for science; favorite outfit includes a plaid skort, white polo, and a pocketwatch she took out of her Grandpa's dresser.
Kenley St. Clair (18): hates life; convinced she's a vampire and enjoys biting; wears black nail polish and fishnets every day; has the entire "Thriller" music video memorized; doesn't even remember what hair color is from excessive dying of it purple.
Alice Thomson (3): likes puppies but not butterflies; favorite color is sandwich; enjoys drawing on her bedroom walls with markers; terrified of the tooth fairy.
Noah Hartford (16): brown hair; likes skateboarding and shooting things.

Cecilia Tudor... interesting..
Michael.
I just got finished reading Identical by Ellen Hopkins, which deals with Multiple Personality Syndrome as well. It was a really, really phonomenal book; I honestly couldn't stop reading it and thought about it for days afterward. If you like to read stuff like that you should give it a shot.
Oh, and on another note, what's with the whiiiiiiite? I liked the colorful layouts so much better. :[
