Two days ago, I began an arduous and seemingly impossible task: going for 5 days without logging onto Facebook.
Last night, was okay. I did my homework, finished up a bit of research on the internet, and even wrote a new post. The urge to check the wall posts and photo comments people have left me (according to the bombardment of e-mails I've received) was strong, but not enough to pull me in.
No matter what the Facebook starved voices in my head may say, I know that this is good for me.
It's baffling to think of all the hours I have wasted looking at other people's profiles and photos. In fact, I couldn't even tell you anything useful I've obtained from the countless days spent on that famous blue headed page.
It's getting difficult though. I'm so used to double clicking on the internet icon and then heading straight away to http://www.facebook.com/ (I had to write the entire address out just to give my fingers a few moments of relief).
Oh Facebook, your red
notification pop ups
are my nicotine
It's going to be a tough run.. but I can do this.
On another note, today was registration for all sophomores. I can't believe that I'm going to be a junior next year! I'm not too ecstatic; I've heard that 11th grade is the toughest out of all 4 years of high schoool, and it's not that hard to believe. What with scholarship applications, entrance exams, and AP classes, it's going to be difficult to stay above the sea of workload.
The classes I've signed up for:
1st Semester:
AP Lit and Composition
Math Analysis Honors
Physics Honors
Latin III Honors
Symphonic Winds Honors
AP Macroeconomics
Reading for College Honors
2nd Semester:
AP Lit and Composition
Math Analysis Honors
Physics Honors
Latin III Honors
Symphonic Winds Honors
AP Psychology
AP Human Geography
So basically I'm taking all the hardest classes offered to juniors... remind me why I'm doing this again?

You're doing it to attain a very impressive education, and for the challenge. :)
I think those subjects are actually quite good, I'd gladly take them, too. I'm so jealous that you get to take Latin, but hopefully, I'll get to take some courses in university next year.
And about Facebook, I get distracted by it, too. Other people's lives are just too fascinating.
Michael.
I received your Friend Request through Facebook Mobile (that much I have not deprived myself of).
I get stuck clicking through hundreds and hundreds of others' photos...
