Well I'm sitting on a very uncomfortable chair at the public library. Unfortunately, this less than butt satisfying seat is also right about an air vent... one that is expelling a very cool, very persistent breeze. Of course, I'm feeling a bit too lethargic to get up and move all of my things to a different location. Instead, I am bent in a V shape with me laptop resting in the er ... vertex, if you will. In this position, I am able to keep the bottoms of my forearm and the tops of thighs slightly warm.
I honestly don't know why I'm at the library. Everything I've done so far here (check my Facebook, watch a few AutoTune videos, look them up on YouTube!, reply to a few emails) are things that could have gotten accomplished at home.
Here's my theory. The only type of computer I've ever had is a desktop. Does anyone even remember what those things are? Huge monitors connected to a large plastic brick, connected by miles and miles cords? Anyone? Ringing a bell?
Anyways, I think that all those years of being tied down to a desk and chair at home just to use the computer has caused me to rebel. In fact, since I've gotten my laptop yesterday, I haven't sat down on a chair and put the computer on a table to use it. So far, the laptop has either been on the floor, my lap, or on the bed.
Speaking of laptops on the bed, I just recently finished the critically acclaimed film, The Changeling starring Angelina Jolie. After at least two hours of motionless, open mouthed watching I have one message for all the readers of this blog: See it.
There's something in there for everyone. I cried (more than once, actually), was repulsed, shocked, terrified (in fact I nearly fell out of my bed at one point, but then again, I am a rather jumpy person), and uplifted. I have to give some credit to Jolie who plays a very convincing distraught mother. I haven't seen very many movies in which she has acted ... actually, I think this was the first one in which I have seen her.
Overall the movie was very satisfying, but the ending still manages to leave the viewer so ... unsatisfied.
Any other flicks I need to see?
