3 days a week I have swim practice at 7 in the mornings. However, to reach these workouts I have to ride my bike. While sometimes this seems like a curse (have you ever tried pedaling up hills on 4 hours of sleep?), there are those days when the sheer beauty of everything before the daily commute has arrived makes up for the fact that it's 6:15 AM and my ass is crying for mercy from those godawful banana seats.
Yesterday morning was one of those days (the good ones).
Luckily, I had my camera (a Canon PowerShot SD 1100, scoff away photo taking enthusiasts but I love it), with me and I managed to get a few shots of things I deemed photographable.
My house is the brown one in the middle.
Poor little red shirt left behind .. on a tree of all places!
I tried to get a closer photo of these beautiful flowers but they were all surrounded by some nasty looking stinging nettles.
I was downtown when I saw this group of kids playing around in the fountain in our Peace Plaza. I snapped a quick photo at the risk of being clawed by some overprotective mother. Add, "play in the fountain" to my things-to-do-this-summer list.
OH and Happy Father's Day to all those dads out there!
